I'm ready for the New Year!

When thinking about what my New Year's resolution should be this year I came up with more of a bucket list of things I want to accomplish than just one thing I want to change.

On my 2014 Bucket List:
1. Lose another 50 pounds by eating healthy and working out.
2. Run a half marathon
3. Run a marathon
4. Hike part of the Appalachian Trail
5. Take more trips with my family
6. Half Iron Man

But sometimes working out and eating healthy is...well...boring. I need to spice up my dedication. Have more fun.

So I will document my journey this year in a PROM DRESS!

Wait. What?

Sure. It will be fun! I got the idea when I found a completely random dress this summer. My kids were being a little too silly so I threatened (being silly myself and I wonder why my kids are silly) to wear it on our camping trip. I took it with us and ended up jumping in the pool with it! It was hysterical!

I hope you all join me as I continue on this journey. Being a healthy, fun mom.

  1. That is so awesome! I hear there's a zipline thing at Lums Pond, would be hilarious to do that in a big 80s prom dress! Are you limiting your dresses to any era?

  5. Amanda, I love this year's personal challenge you have accepted. what I love the most is your realistic "I am not taking myself too seriously" approach using the fun gowns. I can't wait to add to your collection.

  6. I might have a dress or two for you also. I do recall wearing a purple prom dress, yes I said purple. It was not for the faint of heart. It will help me in my decluttering/doensizing goal! (If I can gind it...)
